CU Outstanding Research Supervision Team Award 2019 Winners

The Coventry University Outstanding Research Supervision Team Award recognises innovative and exceptional practice in supervisory teams.

The Outstanding Research Supervision Team Award 2019 winners: 

  • Professor Katherine Wimpenny, Professor Sarah Merry and Dr Julia Carroll; Global Learning, Education and Attainment
  • Dr James Bennett and Dr Sara Burbi, Agroecology, Water and Resilience

The following teams were shortlisted for the inaugural award in 2019:

  • Professor Damien Sutton, Dr Miriam de Rosa and Dr Bianca Wright; Postdigital Cultures
  • Dr Messaoud Saidini and Dr Andrew Arewa; Built and Natural Environment
  • Dr EJ Milne, Professor Heaven Crawley and Dr Adam Baird; Trust, Peace and Social Relations
  • Professor Katherine Wimpenny, Professor Sarah Merry and Dr Julia Carroll; Global Learning, Education and Attainment
  • Dr James Bennett and Dr Sara Burbi, Agroecology, Water and Resilience
  • Professor Kristin Aune, Dr Christopher Shannahan and Dr Patricia Sellick; Trust, Peace and Social Relations

Each of the short-listed teams gave a short presentation at the Doctoral Capability and Development Conference #DCAD19 addressing and considering the team’s approach to research supervision and its impact.
