Three Minute Thesis (3MT)

A popular competition held both nationally and internationally between universities. During the 3MT competition doctoral students talk about their research for 3 minutes only and a winner is selected by a panel of judges.  The Coventry University winner is entered into the national competition hosted by Vitae.

Visualise Your Thesis

Visualise Your Thesis (VYT) challenges postgraduate researchers at any stage of their candidature to present their projects in a 60-second, eye-catching, audio-visual digital display. Using a pre-supplied template, you are tasked with developing a striking e-poster presentation that succinctly describes your research, and its potential benefits, to a non-specialist audience.

Awards

PGR of the Year Competition

Each year, Coventry University award one postgraduate researcher the title of Postgraduate Researcher of the Year. One nominee representing each faculty or University Research Centre will compete for the title. There will be a cash prize of £1000 for the overall winner and £100 for each nominee.

Outstanding Supervisory Team Award 

Each year the Doctoral College and Centre for Research Capability open nominations for the Outstanding Research Supervision Team Award to recognise innovative and exceptional practice in supervisory teams.
