PGR: Funding for culture projects

Second round of City of Culture funding for students

Want to start your own project in the run up to UK City of Culture 2021?

As Coventry continues to prepare for the year-long celebration, we’re excited to be offering you the opportunity to apply for seed-funding to deliver projects which further engage the university with communities and the wider city – throughout 2021 and beyond.

We are a huge part of Coventry’s cultural fabric, with a creative hub of students and staff already contributing to city life, and this is an exciting chance to make sure residents and visitors can utilise all that we have to offer.

Your idea can focus on innovation, sustainable change, community engagement, diversity or collaboration, which the university sees as key drivers for putting Coventry centre stage and promoting the growth of the city.

This is the second round of Student Grants and of course the circumstances that we find ourselves in are substantially different to the previous round. Therefore, we ask you to consider projects that are deliverable during lockdown, are COVID secure and are designed to help people during the difficult and complex time.

All students are invited to submit an expression of interest – as individuals or in groups – which should be submitted by 4pm on 5th March 2021, after which the shortlisted projects will receive a full application form to submit by 1st April 2021.
