Social media to Metrics: Developing your online presence

The session is suitable for PGRs from ALL phases of their programme to attend

Session Description  

This session is comprised of two parts. The first will explore different social media and academic networking platforms, how they can be used by academic researchers and the potential benefits and drawbacks which each offer.

The second part of the session will look at research metrics, seeking to provide an overview of how they can be used and also why they have been challenged by a number of initiatives such as DORA and Leiden Manifesto. A brief introduction to Scopus will then be provided where participants will be shown how the metrics in Scopus can be utilised when seeking impactful articles for your research, or high profile journals in your field.

How do I register? 

Register for this event by selecting 1 participant under RSVP and completing the information required.
