Approaching Policy Impacts
Wednesday 8 Feb 2023 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
FreeIn-person event
Session Description:
This session will be co-lead with the Group Policy Unit and will help you understand:
- How does your research interact with contemporary policy debates?
- How do you identify whom to approach?
- What difference can your research make?
- Who can you target to help your research make the changes you want to see in the world?
It will also explore the structures of local government administrations, how researchers can engage with regulatory bodies, how we approach key gatekeepers and access channels for engagement and how this can lead to beneficial change. We will further look at how your research can be used to influence policy at Westminster and the devolved administrations as well as the EU and international authorities.
This session is open to all CU researchers.
Location: Swan Room, Elm Bank, Mile Lane, CV1 2LQ
