Gender Research – Collaborative Event

Do you have an interest in or are you undertaking research in relation to gender? If so, please join us for an interactive event bringing together the research community to explore opportunities for collaborative research in gender. There are no restrictions relating to career stage, centre affiliation or ideas, please just come along with enthusiasm and willingness to engage and collaborate!

This event organised by Lynn Clouder (Institute Director for Global Education) and Susie Maugham (Research Funding and Development Manager) aims to bring together diverse interests and perspectives on gender as a theme that can be a common denominator that promotes transdisciplinary thinking, researching and collaboration.
We expect to identify and briefly explore the potential of a number of subthemes e.g. Gender and education, Gender and sustainability etc.
Initially the event will be open to Coventry University research community with an interest in research on gender. The event will enable us to identify areas where we can work together to bring different perspectives to result in the development of joint research ideas.
Expected outcomes of the event are as follows: ▪ Forming internal connections: Forming cross disciplinary, cross-centre collaborations ▪ Expanding connections externally: Identify opportunities to expand collaborations beyond Coventry University tapping into and sharing networks ▪ Identifying Research Leads: Identify individuals that are willing to lead an idea within the theme of gender ▪ Developing concept notes: Developing concepts notes that will feed into various outputs including: funding applications, joint papers, and joint PhDs.
