Professor Ali Ghufron, an eminent guest from Indonesia, is coming to Coventry University and will be giving a lecture or seminar. Professor Ghufron has had long standing relations with Coventry University and his passion is related to public health and universal healthcare coverage.

Professor Ali Ghufron Mukti is now a President Director of BPJS Kesehatan (The Indonesian Social Security Administering Body for Health) after being inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in February 2021. Formerly, he was a Chairman of COVID-19 Research and Innovation Consortium and also acting Expert Staff of Infrastructure in Ministry of Research and Technology/National Agency of Research and Innovation Republic of Indonesia. He was Former Dean Faculty of Medicine UGM, Acting President University of Trisakti Indonesia, and the Commissioner of Mandiri In-Health Insurance company. He was the Director General of Resources for Sciences, Technology and Higher Education in Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. He is committed to research in the area of epidemiology, health insurance, managed health care and health financing, and as an international expert with more than 40 journals published. He was also former Vice Minister of Health and Acting Minister of Health, Guest Lecturer in many world class Universities such as Harvard Medical School, Nottingham University, Tokai University etc., in the 1990’s he took sport health insurance courses in UCLA.

Lily Kresnowati is Director of Health Service Assurance at BPJS Kesehatan, and former President Director of PT Cokro Cendekia Indonesia. Lily has a Master degree of Epidemiology from Diponegoro University, Semarang Indonesia, and a Medical Doctor degree at Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University, Semarang Indonesia.
