PGR Supervisor Update – Supporting your new PGR

Suitability: Supervisors who have a new PGR starting in September 2022

An opportunity to hear relevant updates relating to Doctoral Supervision.

We will cover:

• key regulations and expectations
• signpost to support for PGRs and supervisors
• online resources
• researcher development programme
• PGR management systems and processes

How to register: 

Register for this event by selecting 1 participant under RSVP and completing the information required.

Please RSVP only ONCE using your Coventry University email address (example@coventry.ac.uk) and check your registered email for confirmation (be sure to check your junk folder). 

You are expected to attend the full session, arriving promptly for the start and ensure that you do not have any other meetings at the same time. If you are no longer able to attend, please do let us know by emailing RECAP@coventry.ac.uk.  

If you have any requests for reasonable adjustments to ensure you can make the most of your development opportunity, such as large print, paper/slide colour, access requests etc, please do let us know by emailing RECAP@coventry.ac.uk. All requests are treated in strict confidence.

• How will I join the course?

In person: 

This event will be held in person in Kestrel Room, Elm Bank.

Elm Bank Building: The workshop room is on the ground floor, accessible by lift or side door. There are accessible toilets on the ground and first floors. There is a Multi-faith (prayer) room on the ground floor.

Refreshments

Tea, herbal teas, coffee and water. Lactose-free milk, decaffeinated drinks, hot chocolate etc. usually available on request (don’t be shy in asking!).

Parking

CU staff: Park in one of the staff spaces, display your permit and purchase a parking ticket. Note that the staff spaces are normally full by 8.30am. Two disabled parking spaces are available.
