We can think of no better way to get you started on your new postgraduate research programme than refreshments, a chat and meeting new people! We look forward to meeting you all!
Join us at a Welcome Event to meet other postgraduate researchers (PGRs), say hello to the Doctoral College & Centre for Research Capability Staff and get familiarised with the campus. Our staff members will be on hand to answer your questions and we will be joined by later-stage PGRs who will say hello and offer their advice.
You may also want to take this opportunity to arrange a meeting before the event with your Director of Studies or other members of your supervision team.

Refreshments and Facilities at Elm Bank
Refreshments: tea, herbal teas, coffee and water. Lactose-free milk, decaffeinated drinks, hot chocolate etc. usually available on request (don’t be shy in asking!).
Venue
Our PGR Welcome Events will be held in Kestral Room in the Elm Bank building. The room is on the ground floor to the right of the reception. There are accessible toilets on the ground and first floors. There is a Multi-faith (prayer) room on the ground floor.
Parking
CU PGR: The nearest CU student car park is two minutes walk away, further up Mile Lane (CV1 2TR). PGR who require a disabled parking space should contact us in advance so that we can arrange a space at Elm Bank. To register for the event please RSVP only ONCE and check your registered email for confirmation email. Sign up for this event will close at 10am on the last working day prior to the event and there are a limited number of places due to safety guidelines required to hold ‘face-to-face’ events.
