Course outline:

This course is part of the Doctoral Supervision Programme and the CU Supervisor Development Framework
The course is designed, delivered and co-ordinated by the Doctoral College and Centre for Research Capability and Development.

The course provides all the necessary information needed to supervise doctoral candidates at CU. The course covers the support structures, the organisational processes and regulations, the framework, the expectations of supervisors and postgraduate researchers, the activities that postgraduate researchers are required to undertake during the first part of their studies, the role and responsibilities of supervisors at the different stages and the assessment process.

This is an entirely self-study course so you can complete the work in your own time by the deadline. There will be an optional Zoom Q&A session where you can drop in to ask any questions you may have about C1.

The course is estimated to take participants approx. 6 hours of work.
