CU Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2018

As part of the Research Hootenanny, 30 postgraduate researchers took part in the 2017/18 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Three heats were held with the top 2 or 3 progressing to the 3MT Grand Final on Thursday 18th January 2018. Below are the videos from our finalists including our winner who will go onto represent Coventry University in the national semi-final this summer!

First Place – Coventry University’s winner for 2017/18 was:

Sahar Shahid from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences with her 3MT: ‘A World without The Batman’

Second Place:

Alexis Wilson from the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing  with his 3MT: ‘Strengthen, and add lightness

Third Place:

Scott McGuire from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences  with his 3MT: ‘Exercise, man’s best medicine’  

People’s Choice – The audience’s favourite was:

Jenny Mackay from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences  with her 3MT ‘The Hidden Side of Domestic Violence’
